Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 14, 2026
At Bluesky Labs, accessible from bluesky-labs.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information we collect, how we use it, and how your browser handles data when using our utility tools.
1. Tool Inputs and Browser-Local Processing
Many Bluesky Labs tools are designed for browser-local processing when supported by the browser. Examples include image utilities, file converters, text cleaners, PII scanners, calculators, and printable QR tools.
- For browser-local tools, files and text you load are processed with browser APIs such as Canvas, File API, Web Workers, Web Crypto, and local JavaScript.
- Those inputs are not intentionally uploaded to Bluesky Labs servers by the tool workflow and are usually cleared when you close or refresh the page.
- Tools that use external services, public APIs, maps, payments, or live data should be treated according to the privacy badge and notes shown on that specific tool page.
2. Local Storage
Some tools use browser localStorage to remember settings, recent tool state, UI preferences, or progress for local companion features. This data stays in your browser unless a tool page clearly explains another behavior.
You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings or developer tools. Clearing site data may reset saved tool preferences and local-only progress.
3. Third-Party CDNs and Libraries
Some pages load fonts, scripts, or static assets from third-party CDNs or open-source libraries. Examples may include Google Fonts, QR rendering libraries, JSZip, pdf-lib, or similar browser-side dependencies used to generate downloads.
- These providers may receive standard browser request metadata needed to serve the asset, such as IP address, user agent, referrer, and requested URL.
- Tool inputs such as selected files, pasted text, generated PDFs, QR contents, or calculator values are not intentionally sent to those libraries by Bluesky Labs unless the tool page explicitly states an external service is used.
- Where possible, tools are designed to keep processing in the browser and produce concrete local outputs such as copied text, CSV files, ZIP files, images, or printable pages.
4. Payments and Support via PayPal
Support or donation links may open PayPal or another payment provider. Payment details are handled by that provider, not by Bluesky Labs. We do not receive full card numbers or payment credentials from PayPal.
5. Analytics and Advertising
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate page visits and site performance. Analytics storage is disabled by default until you choose “Allow analytics.” We do not intentionally send the text, files, or other content entered into browser-local tools to Google Analytics. Some pages may display advertising through Google AdSense; Google may process device, cookie, approximate location, and interaction data under its own privacy policies. You can keep analytics disabled by choosing “Essential only.”
6. Hosting and Infrastructure
Bluesky Labs is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and related CDN infrastructure. Standard infrastructure logs may include request metadata such as IP address, approximate region, user agent, timestamp, and requested path. These logs are used by the hosting provider for security, delivery, abuse prevention, and operational reliability.
7. Limits of Tool Privacy Badges
Privacy badges are page-level guidance, not a universal guarantee that every feature on the site behaves the same way. Review each tool's notes before working with sensitive data, especially when a page mentions API/data access, maps, payments, live lookups, or third-party services.
8. Professional Advice Disclaimer
Calculation outputs, checklist scores, and reference indicators from Bluesky Labs tools are estimates for informational purposes only. They do not constitute professional financial, legal, tax, medical, or corporate compliance advice. Always verify critical outputs manually with qualified professionals.
